That actually seems like a good option, but I don't have any easy method to control the volume. Reaching around the back every time would be a pain. (Some games I have are louder than others)
Mine has that too, but I'm using my LCD monitor, so I'd need a cable that switches to VGA and SPDIF on the other end. Or something to convert the RCA plugs to SPDIF.
Ever heard of anything like that?
I take it you just have an HDTV that you hooked your 360 up to.
Why the heck does he have HDMI? Mine has just the usual output with three chinch (blue, red and green...not talking about the other two for sound) connectors for the HDTV. Is it a huge difference if I use HDTV with HDMI or the chinch ones? Sorry if this is way too off-topic.
Microsoft incorporated an HDMI output on the 360 Elite when it came out, and then put it on all the other models as well (this was around August in the US) - and HDMI definitely makes a huge difference on the PS3, because you can set it to "HDMI Full Range" which sends out darker blacks then are possible with the component cables (the blue/red/green ones). I'm not sure if the 360 has this option, but I'm getting one in the next couple of days, so I'll keep you posted!
Also, my HDTV can only do 1080p with the HDMI connector for some reason, so that makes me happy as well!

I got my 360 in september, so as a result, I got the HDMI out as well as a 65nm chip to reduce the risk of overheating. Too bad I don't forsee ever using the HDMI capability.
