If I could do something that would actually help then I would if I could not then I wouldn't. Some people do react interestingly in these situations and yes, obviously I don't really know what I would do.
I'll give you an example of someone doing something cool though, when some Iraq sponsored fake terrorists captured some embassy (this isn't something I actually remember) when the SAS came and one of them was at the window about to go in one of the prisoners saw him and rugby tackled the other guy with the gun so he couldn't shoot the soldier before the soldier got in.
That type of thing does happens then, evidently.
