Your favorite mix regarding bass frequencies?

Sevendust - home
Katatonia - TGCD
Soilwork - Stabbing the drama.
Opeth - Blackwater park
Dimmu borgir - PEM

not so ironically, these are also some of my favorite sounding records, save for stabbing the drama.

I love how most of those albums sound though. :(
Hybrid Theory I have a huge soft spot for in terms of production. :S
Toxicity aswell, it sounds fucking huge!

By the way, just listened to that Veil of Maya, it sounds like crap, no offense

yeh im with abyss on this one kind off, i love the band, but never thought the mix was that great tbh

I'm listening to veil of maya and it sounds awfully similar to Faceless - Planetary Duality, great songs, shit production... I honestly don't like it

yep i was thinking of faceless as well, to me those mixes always sounded like they had programmed drums and pod guitars tbh......not that its a bad thing...but u know....

I hate to jump on the bandwagon but I really have to agree here. Still, these albums are selling, are they not?

BTW I love the low end on everything by Bergstrand

The first obvious mix that comes to mind is Clayman. However, I absolutely love the deep bassy vocal mixes on the songs "The Sacrifice" by Symphony X and "Isolation Years" by Opeth. Jens Bogren really knows how to bring the "softer" songs to life. I can't stop listening to those tracks.
