My first post on here...
1. Def Leppard: Hysteria - Drummer gets his arm ripped off in a car accident mid session designs a drum kit shortly after and records his parts, awsome sounding guitars from crappy gear, fantastic songs and killer mix.
Also clever in that it's deceptively unheavy and theres something that appeals to anyone no matter what sort of music they like. I double dare anyone to say they don't like at least one thing about this CD.
2. Kill 2 This: Deviate - Simple but good songs, the most defined and clearest guitars and drums on any CD ever. I use this CD to test audio quality on gear (Using the end of The Flood)
3. Strapping Young Lad: City - Insane songs, apocolypic sounding (clean and in time) drums with virtually bugger all editing. Tons of stuff going on but never sounds muddy cluttered or hidden.
