1993-2004 or 2001-2004?
I think it's about 2000-2004. Either way it's a tough challange. An impossible one for me. So all I want to say about this matter is that Machine Head's Through The Ashes Of Empires stands out the most in my book. But that's also because of personal reasons and I really don't want to make other albums look any less impressive. There are many of 'em. Too many for me to put them in a particular order without doing one of them wrong. Oh boy, blessed are we to see the scene so strong and alive, aren't we?

Vanden Plas - Beyond Daylight 2002
Pagans mind - Celestial Entrance 2002
Tad Morose - Matters of the Dark 2002
Lacuna Coil - Unleashed Memories 2001
Avalon - Eurasia

honorable mention: Angel Dust - Of Human Bondage
Fuel - natural selection
Balance of Power - heathen Machine

Man that was tough. There are some cool stuff I own from these last few years, so I tried to pick CDs that don't have any "filler." The five I named are pretty solid. Of course Accept's "Ball's to the Wall" was remastered in 2001 and would fit in the top five as well, but of course it was written and recorded prior to 2000 so I didn't put it there.

2000-2004....ok...

1. Steve Walsh - Glossolalia
2. Devin Townsend - Terria
3. Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
4. Karizma - Document
5. Theory In Practice - Colonizing The Sun

well.. 3. is progrock I guess and 4. is fusion... and we're at Ultimate METAL here hehe..

Frank
