Your Top Fave REVERB - [June 2012 Edition]

I have always struggled with reverb on drums. I am currently trying slate room samples along with bricasti m7 impulses. Everything sounds like shit to me, all the time.

I have searched through half the goddamn internet reading old threads about reverb. Figured it's time to see what you guys are using currently...

I'm currently loving impulses for my verbs.

The only Algo Verb I'm using is Valhalla's Shimmer and Springage. OCCASIONALLY I'll use Lexicon's Vintage Plate.

Other than that, I love the VSS3 impulses, Bricasti occasionally and a HOST of impulses from older units... AMS, EMT's, etc...

But I'm not huge on verbs aside from drum shells, brass and vox.. OH and leads for sure. Shimmer is great for this.

Actually, all of Seans' stuff (Valhalla) is about the only algo type effects I use now-a-days..

Dude, do you have a link to the AMS and EMT stuff? Is it free like the Briscati?

Sloan: Try Gold Plate on drums... you may want a small shelf to cut some top and bottom though.

If you're looking for an all purpose convolution reverb, then Quantum Leap Spaces is where it's at. It has a giant array of verbs with various lengths and room tones. That said, if you just want room sound for drums, why not just use SD2 room samples?

I dig how plate reverb sounds with snare and toms, someone posted a Finnvox IR pack that is awesome.

What are some good free verb IRs to use with a loader, if there are any? I'm looking for mainly drum and vox verbs. I did a general search about these things a few months ago, but didn't turn up much.

In the algorithmic vein of verbs, I've used a free plate sim reverb called poor plate, which sounds pretty neat on some things.
