I think I've done a similar survey before, but hey, who cares, right? If we cared about repeating ourselves then we'd probably only have ten threads in the history of MD.

There, that should do for a while. Go crazy.

That's what I thought. If nothing had happened would they have featured as prominently? Don't let your emotions get in the way, young Jedi.

:) Well it's only been since then that I've realised how much of a fan of Pantera I really was. I've always been a fan, but for some reason until now whenever I've thought about my favourite artists, they've never sprung to mind even though I have all the post-80s albums, went to see them three times, seem to wear my Pantera shirt more often than I wear others and only a month ago quite deliberately bought a patch to put on the front of my jacket above the right-hand pocket. It's like someone you knew at school or at work that you always hung out with but you never seem to think about when they're not around, and suddenly they die, or get arrested or something and you think, wow, that motherfucker was pretty damn cool! How come I never invited them out to the footy or to go fishing?

I dont know, to be honest I dont really care enough about the bass, I mean, its there, but its not like they go widdling to impress (unless its Dream Theater or something) so they can make up for their small penises.
Steve Harris, because he writes some good songs.
Jason Newstead, because he tried to keep Metallica metal, even if it was a losing battle he could never win.
Cronos, because he is a really crap musician, is funny and always insults everyone in interviews...
David Vincent, because he can go GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR really low
Gene Simmons, because a man with so little talent that can get as far as he has is an inspiration to us all.
