No no, def no compression. Check out my response and you'll see how i did it. Also guys i used a Slanted Mesa Oversize cab for this record, that makes a HUGE difference over a traditional recto cab. They sound nothing alike... And vintech or neve preamps are a must. You will get way too...

No adat on this record it wasnt even available to the public at the time this record was made for another 3 years. It was recorded to tape and then put on a sony digital 48 track... They just kept turning the bass down during the final mix. And i've also never heard of any triggering...

Yes of course there was! I know that this kick is triggered on this one. Probably not replaced afterwards. Alot of sample replacement was done via midi and dumped to tape back then. There is also stories of them using a tc2290 to send tempo dependent midi info to a sequencer to completely...

I despise the megadeth remixes... and most remix/remasters for that matter. But this is something i completely support. There is so many stories about the rough mixes of this album sounding better than the final and i've even heard tapes of the drum and bass only tracks that were floating...

Glad you guys dig it! Its my favorite album by them so far. We had a blast making it. I love the uberschall, even though it wasnt used on this record and the exstasy was used on leads. I consider the 101b to be one of the best amps ever made, period. Absolutely amazing amplifiers.

There is no snare sample on beauty and the breakdown and we only used a kick sample because the band demanded it. Its a sample of the kick we used from that session. There is also no drum editing and very little editing otherwise...

Neato... was worried this album was slipping under the radar. It may be one of the rawest things i've ever done. Really stoked people dig it... it was a hell of a process. Very intense way to do a record. There is really basically no snare sample on this... only on the hard hits... the blast...

more low end... more pronounced tone control. Alot more distortion if you want it and More output to work with.... Very good if you want more woof out of the 5150s Its pretty much just a boss sd-1, which i have also used for years and is 70 bucks cheaper because zakks name isnt on it.

57 and beyer 201. 57 is the main sound though... 201 usually sits about 15-18db below... Mesa Trad cab on the rhythms. Tons of amps on overdubs and leads throughout the album.
