The other day I found Gentle Giant - In A Glass House on vinyl for $20, though I wanted to save money so I decided not to get it. I'm sort of regretting it. But instead I bought the Aphrodite's Child album "666".

I know a lot of people who really dig it. But it's just not my thing. I also hate the rendition of Painkiller, it just sounds sluggish (not unlike the album overall IMO) and the falsetto screaming gets really boring. Then again I've never really been a big fan of Death.

My Dad.. well most peoples parents I know seem to try to come in like "hey these guys have been around for years balahab lah" if it's something like Jethro Tull or any 70's band.. as if WOAH MAN CATCH UP! And they seem to try to make comparisons with anything that has "been around for years"...

Right now? At this very moment If they were right in front of me, I'd wonder if I took any mind altering substances in the last 10 seconds to see Opeth fall on top of my computer desk. But I'd ask them if they could bring me to their gig in Auckland tonight :(

Haha great! Someone had to bash Killswitch Engage and I'm glad it was Mikael! When I think of Killswitch Engage I just think of guys swinging guitars around recklessly, and I once liked them, but when I started really appreciating music I just thought those guys look a little silly.

I love Ghost Reveries and it has grown to be one of my favourite Opeth albums. But I do get sick of Roadrunner Records killing a lot of bands for me by advertising the music on their label like some infomercial.

I guess I fit in there.

Sounds pretty hopeful. Man I'm really liking Devin Townsend at the moment.. I wonder what it would be like if he was in on this new supergroup.. even more interesting!

Man if they were to play another place in NZ for any future dates, OF COURSE they're going to play Wellington, so quit moaning you North Islanders freakin' get every international act.
