2013 NHL Thread

Im glad you enjoyed it!

It is pretty cool how our fans travel and support each team. Being relatively close and all, It makes for a great road trip. I surprised my daughter on her B-day last year and took her to her first B's game, it was one of the best days of my life...we had a ball! Hope to make it an annual thing atleast one game and hopefully one time make it a trip to Montreal.

Nice. You definitely should go to a game in Montreal man, it's loud as hell. Which is why it's definitely the toughest building to play in lol.

I'll tell you this. I have never seen so many hot babes in Montreal ever... I got swarmed by the Coors Light girls as soon as I walked in and gave me a chance to meet a player, christ they were hot in there skin tight pants lol

Thornton should be suspended for the rest of the year.

As much as I'd like that to happen, it won't. He's never been suspended believe it or not, so don't expect him to get a massive amount of games. It was cheap though, I do agree Orpik should of fought him after the Eriksson incident, but the first rule for any fighter is to never punch a guy in the face when he is down on the ice. Thornton should have known better.

Wow Bs with 2 goals in the final 1:15 to win it...fuck yeah.

True on Thornton, that was unlike him. However i will say that after Orpik first layed out Erikkson, Thornton went to challenge him properly and Orpik shouldve answered the bell cause it wouldve most likely ended things then and there. Orpik is tough and one of the best in laying out big hits, if youre going to play that way then be ready to answer for it on occasion. Then Neal purposely with the knee to Marchands head, this led directly to the scrum that unfortunately landed Orpik on the ice. This wasnt all brought on by the Bs here and Thornton to my memory has always followed the code the right way. He will definitely have to pay a price for what happened none the less.

Boston vs. Pittsburgh = Battle of the Idiots.

But meh Shitsburgh had it coming. Pussy move by both but didn't really look like Thornton gave him such a hard punch.

What's your beef with these teams? I get the hate factor but minus some of the shit we saw lastnite, its quite the rivalry and some of the best hockey...its always must see for me. Yeah it looks ugly on Thornton and the Bruins, though Orpik went down a bit awkward, it did look harmless including the punches.

Can't stand any of those two teams when they have/had players like:

Boston: Lucic, Marchand, McQuaid, Chara.

Shitsburgh: Crosby, Neal, Orpik, Cooke, Kunitz.

And if we're gonna talk rivalry I'm more for the Capitals vs. Shitsburgh with Ovi vs. Crosby.
Still I'm a Rangers fan but find their rivalry against the Devils very boring. But if I had to pick a team to "cheer" on from these two it would be Boston. My hate for Crosby is beyond anything.

I just kind of hope the entire Eastern Conference blows up. They're all gay, except any former Ducks (not named Ryan, fuck him), they cool.

Good to know lol...

And feel pretty much the same bout Crosby.

These two teams have more of a history than some may know. Mainly going back to Sammuelson / Neely and more recent Cooke / Savard...and its just expanded from there. Mainly i hate all the whining and bitching Lemieux has done both as a player and owner when it comes to rough play getting calls etc. This from the same organization with the cheap dick players that were previously mentioned. Crosby is the same as Lemieux was with this shit.

Something many of us know, but man is my boy Lucic one of the toughest hombres. Had a major battle with the Oilers heavyweight and both held their own just fine. Luc did get tagged with two rights that wouldve killed most and he hardly flinched wtf. The fact that he has real game too...man-crush hee hee.

I would like to have Lucic in Rangers for his fighting, his physical and goal scoring but not for his attitude. Great player but as mentioned his attitude will be a problem. The guy can't take a hit without hunting the one who hit him and takes an unnecessary penalty.

Jeezus i know Krig. No Cup hangover here and theyve been healthy for most and just rolling.

I dont see his fearless attitude as a problem and it eases the team more so his line when it gets rough. But yeah, its a fine line...he has to keep his cool in which he has improved on. He really didnt want any part of that fight with the Oiler's Heavyweight, yet he finally gave in...wont back dont from a challenge. He is like the perfect Bruin...in many ways he is like my alltime fave and current Pres Neely. Though Neely had much better hands and a scoring touch that Lucic will never have. Yet Luc has learned from and is kinda morphing into a Neely type Bruin. When he is scoring like he has been, dominates and sets the tone.

There's nothing wrong with his fearless attitude. Fearless players are the better one. It's his pride that he can't allow anyone to hit him that is a big minus. I remember one time when Landeskog gave Lucic a clean hit. Lucic started to chase Landeskog and then instigated but Landeskog felt it wasn't the right time to fight so Lucic kept trying to fight and it ended up with a penalty for Lucic which Colorado took advantage of and score. That's what's negative with Lucic. Sometimes he need to swallow his pride and keep playing the game.
