So Vancouver native boy Lucic gets attacked after game in downtown Vc. Along with this, his grandparents have been harrassed at games and Lucic's church has been vandalized. Way to support the hometown boy Vancouver...bunch of dicks!

so much Black Metal in one sentence! :kickass:

Ha ha.

True though...the grandparents sitting in stands have had f'in food thrown at them wtf. Spray paint all over the church. Id like to see them do that on a church in the Bostons North End. Their balls would be hanging from a cross lol...bastards!

Kind of surprised seeing Thornton appeal his suspension and Neely making such a big deal about it..Thornton's actions were quite ridiculous I think and the 15 game suspension seems fair, if anything maybe on the low side. Don't think i've ever seen a hockey player go after someone like Orpik and "make" him get punched in the face

Also both Neal, Orpik and Thornton did wrong but seriously... Orpik can't take any punches if he gets knocked out from 2 small punches with gloves on... The drama queen faked it and the Pittsburgh had it coming. If you play like trash you'll be treated like trash. Neal's kneeing and Orpik's interference were worse than Thornton's "punch" to the face.

Isn't Orpik still out? "faked" it? Neal's knee was pretty bad and deserved worse than 5, but literally forcing yourself onto a guy twice to fight is ridiculous, especially when the Bruins made a big deal about the 'code' when the Scott v. Kessel incident happened..

But to act as if that is just, you might be retarded. Orpik's hit was deemed clean by everyone, so get over it

If Orpik after that clean hit just went at it when challenged by Thornton...none of this wouldve happened. Doesnt make what Thornton did afterwards any less bogus. He deserved and i have no problem with his suspension. I do have a problem with the light suspensions handed out to Neal and other players who have taken out other Bruin players recently. The hit on Miller by the Toronto player shouldve warranted more of a penalty.

2 barely punches with gloves on doesn't knock you out (especially not so you have to be carried out  ). The hit wasn't clean, it was a obvious interference which led to an unnecessary concussion for Eriksson again. And nah, you clearly seem to be the retard here. :)

What are you in dreamland? Why would a top4 GOOD d man fight a bottom 3 not-good player and fighter in Thornton? When does an enforcer ever not fight an enforcer?

Maybe he is a bitch, and can't fight, oh well. At least he's a bigger man than you'll ever be because he plays one of the most physical sports on the planet at a very high competitive level, as you sit in your frosted snow house drinking hot chocolate saying he's a pussy. If it wasn't clean, then where is his suspension? Oh that's right he didn't get one, as well as the penalty on the ice. Hasn't eriksson been concussion prone before? Isn't that why the Scott hit was such a big deal?

Your argument is pretty irrelevant since you doesn't play hockey either. I used to play hockey and I have dropped gloves and give and take big hits, of course you can't compare that to NHL but at least I've played it and got experience with the fighting. There's also a lot of penaltys and cheap shots that doesn't get noticed and there for they don't get a suspension or penalty. And no he didn't get a penalty or suspension but at least he's "hurt" and can't play because of that, fair enough.

By the way, Scott is irrelevant since we're discussing about Neal, Orpik and Thornton. Didn't really follow about the Scott situation so I have nothing to comment on that.

I'm not sure if you've watched the NHL this season, but there are tons of plays that get called for suspensions but not penalties during the game, you can see it with Cowen's suspension on Girgensons a few games ago and Kaleta's on I think some CBJ defender, both not called during the game, but suspended after.

I played hockey too and you swedes don't fight, bunch of hot chocolate drinking internet tough guys apparently. Does his punches seem that hard? No, but the fact that he went after him, and dropped him to the ice and then swung is pretty ridiculous, whether or not it actually hurt him or not.

My point was that isn't Eriksson a concussion prone player, because he got one against us earlier in the season...

No im in Hockey land. Of course i understand why Orpik didnt want any part of fighting. But he has to deal with what comes from laying out devastating hits that lead to concussions, clean hit or not. Someone is going after him.

Bottom line, Thornton was brutal and the B's pay a bigger price here and thats all people will relate. Yet the Pens are the ones who brought on what happened, with a big hit and then an intentional knee to someones head which led to the scrum in wich Orpik unfortunately got hurt. If the Pens organization led by Queen Mario and Princess Crosby werent such douche whinebags who act like they never do anything wrong, then maybe id be less defensive and critical.

I can agree on that most of us Swedes do not fight but I hadn't any problems with dropping the gloves while I was playing before my knee collapsed. I'm also aware that suspensions have been given after games but also that ugly hits and cheap shots who deserves a suspension has been missed. Majority of this suspension against Thornton is because Orpik got "hurt" from it which he shouldn't be. The suspension time between Neal and Thornton should have been switched imo, but everyone knows that the National Hockey League almost takes Pittsburgh's side every time.

Deal with it? Sure maybe the first agitation is legitimate, but then the actions Thornton still went with were out of line, and there's no denying that. Thornton lost his cool, and got rightfully punished. Orpik did nothing wrong, he saw a chance for a big hit, and took it and i'm sure he's sorry that Loui got a concussion.

I totally agree Neal's was weak, but whatever that's the bias you always see when it's not your team(mine included). I don't get how that blatant of a knee is only 5 games, and John Scott's first offense was way weaker I think and he got 7 or 8, but whatever NHL likes superstars and that's just how it goes I guess.

You say unfortunately got hurt, but what does Thornton expect there? To just hit him twice or something? Come on, he went after him and he really messed up and should deal with his punishment.

Penguins suck but so do the Bruins, the quote that came out from Alain Vigneault or whoever about Marchand is kind of funny in a sense, that all of his douchebaggery would come back to him, and the Bruins are just like. Very sneaky team and they got their karma I guess, much like your lack of victimizing on the Bruins part.

Switched?! Maybe equal, but switched?! Jeez.
