2013 NHL Thread

That's not true, or going to happen.

Maybe it's, why not try to join a team with not too many great forwards? To play in the first line instead of second (don't know how it's now but last season he did) but I know for sure that Rangers is not going to get him.

I'm not sure about that, since it seems Buffalo wants to rebuild. Why would Kane want to play on a terrible team, and why would Regier (or his replacement) want to spend that kind of money during a rebuild? It's probably a moot point, because Kane's not going to leave Chicago.

You were saying? :) 2-0 and John Moore scored. I'm believing in this guy, he can be a really great player in the future.

What? I didn't say anything about John Moore, I was talking about Brandon Prust lol...

Also... P.K. Subban right now is playing on a whole other level to start the season, he's a beast on the blueline. And I love how every opposing team's fans boo him, when they would rejoice with excitement if their team landed him in a trade.

He's got another year on his deal, so it's not like he'd get here until 15-16 anyways (I think) and we hopefully are close to being a real team then...i hope

Kane's not going anywhere. Supposedly he could have been had before the 2013 season because management had enough of Kane's partying. But he seemed to mature last season and shake those concerns on the way to his best season and the Conn Smythe. There would have to be more character issues for the team to consider moving him.

I just love how NHL clubs get pissed off when a player is out past curfew, when 20 years ago, you had players snorting coke all night and playing the game the next day without sleep.

One of the hack journalists for the Chicago Tribune penned a column right when the season started advocating for the Hawks to trade Kane. I kept checking back during the playoffs to see if that bum would write a retraction or at least apologize, but I never saw it.

Kaner is a fan favorite and after his performances in the playoffs I can't see the Hawks trading him away.

Oh you're one of those who think he's a "dirty" hitter or something? Or that he's a pussy for his hits where he leads with his back?

I've seen Kronwall leave his feet to make a hit countless times. His hits aren't always dirty, but it's nice to see him get hit back once in a while.

He should have kept skating, kept his head up - and I think he'd be the first person to admit to that.

Nasty hit either way, and gave him a mild concussion. I expect McLeod will get a few games suspension here.

With your "not gonna happen lol" I thought you were talking about that Rangers wouldn't beat Washington.

Kronwall's an idiot there. He turned his back to the boards when he could've kept skating and avoided the hit. Dirty hit, but Kronwall put himself in the position to get fucked up.
Agreed, I don't know why in the world he put on the skids there. He can backhand the puck away and skate around the net and might not even draw any contact. By turning back towards the side, he probably caught McLeod by surprise, and he reacted in that split second. I'd be surprised if that draws more than a game, especially considering he took the misconduct penalty on the spot. I think that was fair enough.

I don't have an axe to grind with Kronwall either. Hawks-Wings games have been very clean over the past few years, so I haven't personally seen anything particularly dirty. I usually can count on Vancouver and Anaheim to play like thugs though.
