2013 NHL Thread

Speaking of streaks, the young Avs looked impressive against the Bs. I dont know if they can sustain that pace over a full season, but man the Avs team speed is off the charts!

Patrick Roy can do wonders with a Young roster, which he's worked with alot during the Q, and has had a lot of success with (I know it's two entirely different leagues but still). I wouldn't be surprised if this team makes the playoffs, because Varlamov is playing like a monster in net!

how about them calgary flames

I don't give credit to Calgary, yes they won, but if it wasn't for those horrible defensive miscommunication and breakdowns that shouldn't of happened. After Montreal scored that first goal it was all them if it wasn't for that first half. Price was basically left by himself the first half of the game.

Galchenyuk, Eller and Gallagher have been beast. Lighting up the Oilers last night!

Rangers against Capitals on Wednesday. Come on now Rangers I just want you guys to win this one. J.Moore and Brassard will hopefully step up and we need Stu Bickel in our roster. Also trade to get Prust again so we have someone who can stand up for their teammates so it wouldn't be like Stuart - Nash again.

Sick of the Sabres being on NBCSports, after I paid for the damn gamecenter. We are 0-5-1 and somehow draw better ratings than most NHL franchises?! what a joke

Not gonna happen lol. To be honest though, I still don't understand why New York didn't resign Brandon Prust...

Neither do I... Rangers have done a lot of stupid moves. I currently like J.Moore and Brassard on the team. But they traded away Dubinsky who were my favorite player before. I miss the times when we had Prust, Rupp and Bickel and just started a line brawl against the Devils. There's a lot of dead weight in this team and as long as they keep J.Moore, Brassard and Bickel, I wouldn't mind a total remake of the roster. Just go nuts with the trades... We need a reliable goal scorer.

I don't know why the Rangers GM just basically traded Gaborik for Nash and Brassard..Nash is a bum I think, Brassard and Stepan look to have great futures with you guys if they stick around

They didn't trade Gaborik for Nash and Brassard because Gaborik and Nash played together a little bit last season.
Dubinsky and Anisimov for Nash
Gaborik for Brassard, J.Moore and Dorsett

Glenn Sather needs to go. It's time for a change in terms of Management, because it seems to me you guys go after every big name on the trade block. Brad Richards is a guy who has a big head. He's selfish. And Nash well he can be a great teamplayer, but when you play on a team with little to no skill at all (Columbus), you're bound to look good. He hasn't really showed that he can play on a good team.

"Just basically"--Gaborik plays where? Where did Nash play before? In the end, NYR got Nash and Brassard for Gaborik..

I just want to keep Brassard and John Moore otherwise I'm up for a total trading spree.

The Rangers would trade Brassard and/or Moore way before they would trade McDonagh or Stepan (and for good reason).

Are you for real? McDonaugh for good reason? He's too unstable. One game he's great the other game his mind is somewhere else. And if he's so good then we can trade him for another good player.

Every Ranger fan I've ever spoken to, other than you, has said McDonagh is untouchable. Dude's 24, he's not going to be perfect yet, but he could turn into a very, very good defenseman in a few years.

I know that he can be a good defenseman in the future but I were talking if Rangers are going to go trading spree right now to make a more stable and great team right on the spot he should be traded away in my opinion. I would rather for example take Eric Johnson. McDonagh are Rangers third best defenseman in Rangers. Girardi and Staal are better and I'm glad AV decided to put them together last game.

But right now I would love if Sather for some reason could trade Nash and something more (picks/players) for Patrick Kane since by rumors he do not want to play for Chicago.
