I actually didnt. I listened to Metallica obsessively for 7 years. Limp Bizkit is the only embarrasing teenage album I own.

Y'see, the most "embarrasing" album I've ever owned was Billy Talent's first album. Which I can still tolerate and listen to.

But that's really about it. I generally can't stand rap metal or nu-metal or any of that douche-baggery.

Actually, I liked Slipknot's Volume 3. They left their PE0PLE=SH!T side to include solos and melodies in their songs, that was... surprising, at least. But most of metalheads I know now spit on SOAD/Slipknot/Korn/LB/Offspring/Greenday/any neo/punk band, and own cds of those bands at home, because they all listened to it, even went to concerts.

I think everybody on Earth listen to something he's not proud of, the problem is if you decide to act like a 16 yo kid and hide yourself to listen, or listen music as a pleasure, not a fashion tendancy.
