This is all PEACEVILLE's doing. They keep rehashing the same old catalog of albums over and over. Back in 2002 they released all these digipack "remasters" of all their classic catalog releases. None of them sounded remastered at all to me and they contain and couple bonus tracks here and there. They are a label known for re-issue after re-issue. Not a shock to see them try and cash in here.

and I was one of the stupid fans that bought the Swedish edition...
I would have waited for this one, but I guess is all about the celebration$$$...

how many special editions of NITND are they going to make? I did get to see them with Swallow the Sun and Orphaned Land this year, they played at a whole in the wall in my town, and they kicked ass.

This is ridiculous; I hate when labels milk it with these "special reissues" and nonsense.

So is there anything actually on these cd's that isn't already on another already available version? It says the LFDGD will feature the b-sides from the EPs, doesn't the *last* reissue of that album have those tracks? And is still easy as hell to find? And last time I looked you could still buy the Longest Year CD so again, is this not all utterly redundant? Mind you like mentioned it is Peaceville after all, they do occasionally reissue a crucial rare disc (Thergothon, Kvist, etc) but this just takes the piss....and what the fuck is a "tour edition" anyway? A tour edition that you can still just walk into a music store and buy even if you haven't been to see the tour? What a fucking daft concept.

I agree with your opinion on the 'Tour edition' concept. Yes this may have the addition of a couple of tracks but NITND cd is readily available and a so called tour edition had no relevance to the tour itself. Also, and a valid point i think, it just leaves fans with the original cd release feeling short changed as they own an inferior purchase to the new one with added tracks, new and expanded artwork and of course not forgetting a much deeper and relevant product in relation to the recent tour that has taken place.

how many times do i have to tell u, there's no need for anyone who already own the originals to go out and buy these or even bothering to care about what they are called! u probably have no idea how u start sounding like the fat kid with his fingers down the candy jar in the grocery store just cuz they're not offering YOU anything special! and thats just the point: just let them have their way to the new fans cuz if someone don't have it (yes there are people who dont have any of these) then can/should get this now. the rest of u, be happy with what u got and proud to have originals.
