A new, sober, thread about single malt scotch whisky thread.

Yesterday we went to Buffalo Trace and Four Roses. Today was Makers Mark. Tomorrow we hit Woodford Reserve.
Four Roses sucked. Our tour guide was terrible. Makers and Buff was awesome
 
The only "selfies" that are cool are from Krigloch. Because it's usually him and bourbon.

Those are pretty great photos either way, bourbon, Frank, Frankbourbon, or otherwise.

The wife and I are planning to plan a trip to Kentucky some time soon (as she's also a bourbon drinker).

Side note... the bourbon I'm very curious to try is Jefferson's Ocean. The process of aging the bourbon at sea sounds really intriguing. And although it might sound like little more than a marketing ploy, all the reviewers who were initially willing to dismiss it as much, have been very impressed with the final product.

That Lagavulin cask strength is a wonderful fucking beast



Edit: the reason I know that is I got to sample it last weekend at a scotch tasting. The weird backstory on said tasting is that it was a charity event, and a friend of mine invited me. The reason he knew the host is because of involvement in swinger communities.

So the populace of this event is a lot of very wealthy swingers getting boozy for charity, and I met at least one porn star. Cougar-ville, so many fake titties

pretty cool. All the scotch companies say it makes a difference.

Got these today.
 
Gonna grab some Springbank 10 in the next couple weeks along with a couple other bottles. I need to start downing these fuckers cuz they are just adding up.

Any reccomendations for a very fruity and maybe even a lil spicy dram?
