A New Thread

This thread doesn't have any major purpose, but we need some new threads in this forum rather than reusing the same ones to post everything. The huge threads really slow the servers down. Plus the place looks more alive when we have more threads than we did last month.

Well, after a thread gets more than 100 pages to it, I always wonder why people don't make a new thread. Y'know, sucks to look through all the pages or something.

I didn't know that the long threads slowed the servers down, though.

No threads are being closed (that I know of at least). It puts a strain on the server though when very large threads are being loaded. Maybe some of you have noticed slow load times (try comparing load times on a page that has 20 posts to one with 20,000), or maybe a blank white screen when trying to open a thread because the server has timed out.

Plus it would just be nice to have a few more threads This isn't meant as a warning that changes are coming; just that more topics would not be frowned upon
