I have to take a moment to say a HUGE thank you to Gonzo(thesilenced). After talking with him on a really bad week (flat tire, transmission and ripped off toe-nail, hospital, ) I told him I didn't think I'd be able to attend ProgPower as I was going to get my plane tickets the day my car and foot broke down.

:notworthyGonzo:notworthy out of the goodness of his heart offered to lend me the funds to get a plane ticket to get to PP this year.

For those of you who enjoy having me there at ProgPower, make sure to give Gonzo a huge hug or a beer or both. With out him, I wouldn't be there this year.

I have to give credit where credit is due... Gonzo :rock::notworthy:rock:

You my dear are a class act giving credit and publicly saying thanks is nothing short of class, people could take a lesson from your book, that is why we love you so much. And Gonzo, who I am honored to know and who is a dear friend, is a class act also.
 
That's very nice of him. I've been in that situation before, and I know exactly what that is like to have friends who are willing to do that for you. It's a blessing.

What a wonderful thing Gonzo did! I've seen similar situations around here - people pitching in to help someone get to PP when circumstances were preventing them. The feeling of family around here is a big part of what sets this festival apart from any other. You guys rock!! See you soon!

Btw, what the hell did you do to your toe, Metalrose? That looks like a torture scene...owie. :(
 
There will never be a Progpower I am at where MetalRose is not in attendance if there's anything I can do to help it. I have no idea who thesilenced is, but Cheers, Gonzo, for stepping up! I love you guys, always helping less fortunate of us get there!
 
This is awesome - Hail Gonzo for the not-so-random act of kindness, and Hail Metal for being able to come! I agree with everyone that it wouldn't be the same without seeing your technicolor locks EVERYWHERE! :)
 
I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting Gonzo The Silenced, but he's my new favorite person! See you all there!

Good to hear you are making it girl, I haven't been able to go to PP the last 2 times... and now that I am going you are not gonna be wearing one of your crazy outfits?

I will never say I deserved it, but I DO feel fortunate that some folks stepped up to help me get there when I was un/under employed. They know who they are, and they have my thanks FOREVER.

(least I don't need a wheelchair yet, ya dust farter!) :heh:
