Guys i need just 1 Q...
i have the Original CD of "Twilight in Olympus"...& i was wondering, doz the song "Church of the Machine" ends suddenly like a cut?? or its just my CD has this version? :hypno:

I remember back in 1992 when Dream Theater did that sudden ending thing with "Pull Me Under". I've been a fan of that type of dynamic ending ever since. Currently I'm even writing a song for my band that has a sudden ending.

IMO, Twilight is one of the best CD's to just play from beginning to end. It's amazing.

Absolutely! Although I've got no problem in doing that with all SX cd's except maybe the first one since I can't stand Rod Tyler's singing. Damn. I really hope they re-record a few of those debut songs... :(

As mentioned here quite a few times, they're not redoing the entire cd. They may redo a few songs when they go in to record the new cd, but the debut cd won't be rerecorded as a whole.

Speaking of sudden endings to songs. One that comes to mind and really pisses me off (cause it could've been much better) is Theocracy - Mountain. Great song but the song gets my vote for 'stupidest abrupt ending'.

really? what made them change there minds?

They got caught up in touring, and they want to add some more new material before they go back and do old stuff.

I'm not a big fan of the abrupt endings, but for songs like "Church of the Machine" and "Pull Me Under", they work really well.

Yes, it's really amazing how a great singer can bring up a song like 80% :)
