Hicktown New York.
Someone please help me I'm completely lost on how to sync these things together... like literally have no idea at all I have an optical cable and have both units. I'm running cubase 5

I feel like such a n00b );

Behringer set to master.
Behringer ADAT output to Focusrite ADAT input
Focusrite set to sync from it's ADAT input (you'll do this in Saffire mix control)

I have the same setup - you can do as Trevoire told you... OR, if you prefer your Saffire to be the master clock generator (somehow I trust Saffire more Than Behringer), do the following (and you'll need TWO optical cables):
- On Behringer set the Sync to Slave and ADAT In
- One cable goes from Saffire's ADAT Out to Behringer ADAT In (this cable will carry the clock sync signal)
- And the other cable goes from Behringer's ADAT Out to Saffire's ADAT In (this one carries the actual ADAT channels)
- In Mix Control set the Sync Source to Internal

That's it!
Good luck

+1, that's how I do it.

No offense to Behringer, the ADA8000 is actually a pretty decent unit, but no way in hell I'm trusting that thing's clock source :tickled:

Yeah that's how I would have suggested to set it up but seen as he's only got one optical cable he'll have to use the Berry as the master for the moment.
