I know the year isn't over, but I think I've pretty much decided on "Damage Done" as my album of the year. New Bloodbath is excellent, and a good runner up. I can't think of any other releases due out in the next two months that will compare to "D. Done". Anyone know theirs as of yet?

This forum is pretty open-minded, and there are few whiners. I'm sure not many will agree with you, but you won't get flamed either.

A few contenders for the throne:

Damage Done
Immortal - Sons of northern darkness
Agalloch - The mantle
Amon Amarth - Versus the world
Behemoth - Zos Kia Cultos
Opeth - Deliverance

Arcturus-The Sham Mirrors
DT-Damage Done
The Crown-Crowned in Terror
Blind Guardian-A night at the opera

So far for me it's new Vintersorg... but Opeth's "Deliverance" was released only few days ago (and I haven't heard it yet), and Duskfall's debut will come out on christmas...
damage done wins hands down, but although i have only heard opeths-deliverance 3 times its a very strong cd but not enough to beat dd

Yep, I would dare say The Crowns latest closeley follows DD up...the production is simply fucking great on CiT.
