for those of you who don't like the 2008 album sounds i think this might help you this is a video of some new solos for the 08 album coming up if im right. They sound good to me and a bit of bluesyness in there atleast thats what it sounds like to me.

What bodom does or used to do anyway,are called sweep arpeggios

A.K.A Sweeping. Arpeggios are just chords breaked up played sweeping style, I believe. But on pianos/keyboards its just playing arpeggios, breaking up chords playing the notes seperated.

Arpeggios are not the same as sweeping. Sweeping is a technique were you play two succesive strings with the same stroke direction. You can sweep a scale and alternate pick an arpeggio.
