Say, stuff over 10 years old that doesn't sound dated today... here goes:

Pretty much everything Maiden released from The Number of the Beast to Seventh Sonf of a Seventh Son... so many bands try to sound like Maiden, forget it, they're the greatest

Savatage: Streets and Edge of Thorns, mostly because of Criss Oliva, every solo, every lick, every single note he played on those albums is a beautiful work of art

WASP: The production of The Headless Children is one of the best in the history of metal, shit, that's the way drums should sound in a metal album!

Every single album Rainbow released with Dio on the vocals, those were SO ahead of their time, Blackmore is the master

I'll think of more to post them later, what are yours?

Well isn't that something. I forgot it was '91. Thought it was '94. Oh well, it rules copious amounts of ass.

If I'm ever in a band, we will cover Liege Of Inveracity.

Hell yes one of the best DM songs I have ever heard.........check my cd opening songs post

Yes and it has a awesome breakdown that is actually worth listing too......and a solos that actually fit the music.........Suffocations songs just flow so fucking well, they were amazing

Bump on Effigy of the Forgotten

Necrophobic - The Nocturnal Silence
Dismember - Like an Everflowing Stream
Amorphis - The Karelian Isthmus
Vader - The Ultimate Incantation
Morbid Angel - Blessed are the Sick
Fleshcrawl - Descend Into the Absurd
Atrocity - Hallucinations and Longing For Death
Demigod - Slumber of Sullen Eyes
Seance - Forever Laid to Rest and Saltrubbed Eyes
Demilich - Nesphite
God Macabre - The Winterlong

None of these are brutal death (like 80% of dm these days), but they do not sound dated IMO. I wish more bands these days were playing neoclassical death metal in the vein of these CDs.

Any old Sabbath Albums, Old Metallica albums like Master of Puppets.....,old Slayer
and Sepultura (Arise, Chaos a.D),many more ........
I don't see much interest in most of master of puppets, it has some good stuff but i'd rather listen to ...and justice for all or ride the lightning.

The rest i agree with. Most thrash hasn't aged at all.
Early Tool is still interesting
