Hail to the King baby
Faith no More always ruled.Angel Dust by Faith No More was way ahead of it's time. I may not be the perfect judge for this though, because I only bought it around a year ago.

My thoughts exactly. I don't see where any of the songs speak specifically about cocaine or any of the other bullshit that's being debated. You could easily interpret crystal meth or many of the other more common drugs associated with 2007. This is how the album withstands the test of time and always will.Really I think you are nitpicking here. The themes of drug addiction and of religious frauds and how politicians throw away human lives for their own gain in war are themes that have been around for centuries and will continue to be so. While these specific songs may have been inspired by specific events in the 80's the broader themes themselves are timeless.

this is a fucking terrible post. Songs have to be creative, short and a quick impact on the listener? tell that to varg from burzum or michael from opeth, idiot.
I don't think these bands will remain in the history of Music and someone will remind them in 100 years. But it doesn't mean that they are not great bands.
But today, long songs seem to be almost boring and there are less bands that create long songs than in the 80th or 90th.
And don't treat me like an idiot or trisomic, I just constat, I do not judge. Keep your insults for your fucking ass hole.

- Metallica, "Master Of Puppets"
Don't think that's what you do with crystal meth, but I'm no expert.
Anyway, I teach health to 9th graders and I use the song Master of Puppets to get the kids attention at the start of our addiction/high risk behavior unit.
Um... ok.
Dimmu Borgir's Ethrone Darkness Triumphant still sounds modern to me. I say it hasn't aged yet.
Their album, Stormblast, original, has, though.
I agree.
Something tells me Schmielden has down syndrome.
