Hopefully it'll be easier for you to find an English-Brazillian Portguese language books. I looked EVERYWHERE (except obviously Amazon.com) for a Finnish language course and found nada! I couldn't even find many tourist books on Finland. The local Barnes and Noble and Borders had lots of travel books on Scandanavia that covered the whole region, but even then, those books only had a blurb on Finland at best.

Why are you going to Brazil?

So you moved here to stay, cause the band?

Great work, detective hahahhahahahah! :D I'll be in HEL (errr... Helsinki) at least through the beginning of next year (minus travelling), sooooo I definitely need to start learning Finnish.

And I need to figure out where the public library and the swimming pool are, although I now know at least where to find the metal bars, hehehhehehh...

Great that you know already where the metal bars are :D
If you ever see a blond gay looking gay staring at his pint and
snarling himself, thats me, so you can come to say hello  :D

HAHAHHAHAHA! There are A LOT of blonde guys in Finnyland snarling (cos they're drunk heheh); if you see me, come up and introduce yourself. I'll be the lost american girl staring blankly at everyone speaking finnish around her. I think i stick out like a sore thumb, but there are also pix of me on the sinergy website: http://www.sinergy.org

Torgoth: So far, I've actually visited Corner Bar in the center of HEL and On the Rocks when there was a metal show going on (Ensiferum was playing), but a couple other metal bars in HEL were pointed out to me, soooo... :)

I would like to know what 'Faerghail' means and If anyone from Finland is bored, please translate this:

...Kun veri peittää maan, aseet kohti vihollista nostetaan ja isänmaata puolustetaan,
kunnes viimeinenkin mies kaadetaan

...Kun veri peittää maan ja vedet värjää punaisellaan
kosto kuolleiden puolesta vannotaan
"Jumalauta, niiden veri tulee vuotamaan!!

niiden viimeinenkin mies kaadetaan
"Jumalauta niiden veri tulee vuotamaan!!"
...päälle tämän maan.

Ja kun tornin kellot kumahtaa, varjot yöhön mustaan katoaa
viimeiset sanat huudetaan, kun kuolema korjaa satoaan

...Kun veri peittää maan ja vedet värjää punaisellaan
kosto kuolleiden puolesta vannotaan
"Jumalauta, niiden veri tulee vuotamaan!!
...päällä tämän maan!!"

I'm not actually bored, but I'm just trying to avoid studying so I'll translate this. :D It's pretty direct translation, so it sounds awfully stupid at some points.

...When blood covers the ground, weapons are raised against the enemy and fatherland is defended,
until the last man falls

...When blood covers the ground and colors the waters with its red
For the fallen a vengeange is sweared
"Goddamn, they will bleed!
...on this ground."

No pity, no mercy
No fear can fit into this night
Must choose life or death and meet the wrath of war

...And blood covers the ground, enemy is crushed
their last man will be killed
"Goddamn, they will bleed!
...on this ground."

And when the bells toll, shadows disappear to the dark of night
Last words are yelled, when death reaps its harvest

...When blood covers the ground and colors the waters with its red
For the fallen a vengeange is sweared
"Goddamn, they will bleed!
...on this ground."

EDIT: I don't if it's related to the band, but there's old computer game called "Legend of Faerghail". Don't know what the word means, but it's not finnish.
