How do you say it with "greenish-blue"?

Or:

Ok, so when I'm in Finland, and if I happen to have a cookie and want to offer it to someone WITHOUT the entire scenario turning into something WAAAY of course, how would I properly ask this?

Or:

"Minun pienellä vihaisella jänikselläni on kaikista kauneimmat turkoosit silmät IKINÄ."

Rabbit could also be kani or pupu(well, thats actually a bunny ). And I`m not sure about the word ever if it translates at all... so you can leave it out too, the meaning doesn`t change.
Also the word kaikista can be left out.

The question would be "haluaisitko keksin?", but if you want to offer that other "cookie", you can ask "haluaisitko piparia?"

@Lantern Nut: greenish-blue is sinivihreä, just replace the word "turkoosi" with it, 'cause I bet it's quite unusual to meet a person with turquoise eyes

ahh, thanks! Now I know how to offer cookies! I mean, I have been learning the important things like please, thanks, hello, goodbye, my name is, i don't speak much Finnish...etc. Of course I have a small vocabulary of profanity building as well, with the odd "gimme a beer" thrown in there.

I think they are equally agressive.. So, use whicever suits you.
You can say "Nyt Saatana/vittu/perkele turpa kiinni/tukkoon.. sounds a lot more agressive.

That's because Finnish words are on average longer than English words
And since the the thread is so long I kindly repeat the link to the prononciation site for Justinschut so he won't have to search the whole thread Finnish prononciation is really easy because one letter always denotes the same sound and vice versa. Hey, the prononciation site now works with Opera, too, ought to update the link description on my homepage

All those short forms like mä/minä, sä/sinä, .... could you list them or something? That would help a lot.

Hei Maili, could you possibly get hold of Fred Karlsson's Finnische Grammatik, maybe in a library? The last chapter explains the pecularities of spoken Finnish compared to written Finnish. A very short example:

Written: Minä olen puhunut suomea.
Spoken: Mä oon puhunu suomee.

Could someone please tell me what that sentence means? It's xanthonyx's signature... For all I know the words mean something like:

At Lake Bodom happened and occured... from the sight murderer glaring...

But that doesn't make any sense as a sentence
