Am I the only one who listens to music as I go to sleep and imagines myself as being in the band? I do this a lot, I put on my headphones and lie in bed, and as I listen to a band I imagine I am in that band performing at various venues, do i need help?:loco:

what are you the singer or do you play guitar or what. . . I can't say I go as far as imagining that I'm in the band but I used to listen to music to go to sleep than I got addicted to it so I had to ween myself away from it

I'm imagining that, somehow, at the lacuna coil show in virginia that cristina will pull me up on stage to sing with her. i dont' know how, but it's gonna happen.

Good luck Cristina its an asome singer , maybe you should try growls she doesnt growls :D

And Soul4Raziel you are not the only one. I think everyone that today is in a band at some point had the exact same dream...some of us still do its just a not-so-common dream in life but i can tell you that at least most of the people who enjoys creates and plays music in public has had the same thought

No you're not the only one, but I tend to imagine being in my own band. I've always wanted to be a killer musician and make music for a living. I guess it will never happen, but I can always dream can't I?

Yeah, I do that all the time, mostly just imagining my band from school playing. We only did one gig, but we crushed (it was a school concert night. We did 'Am I evil', "Sweating Bullets', and 'Know your enemy' :heh: stuck it right up everyone). That was 6 years ago, and I haven't played in a band since  (no doom fans in NZ   ). I picture everything from Mayhem :)lol: that really would have floored people) to MDB, I guess I'm just dying to play live again  .

I used to do that, I don't know why. Some bizzare fantasy, because I can't play any instrument for shit (well, a bit of the piano but only really basic stuff). For some reason it was always at school infront of everyone at some forced school concert that we had to attend. Always seems to go off pretty well, but for some reason all the techno-heads and ravers don't seem to get it.

When I listen to songs I prefer thinking of me playing a cover of it with my band. Especially if it has a groovy bassline

nah, I don't imagine being in bands I listen to
seriously, I don't =)

I imagine hearing them live, though....like
having Opeth playing by your bed, heh

Yeah, i do too...would be fine :heh:

I usually rock around to my favourite songs,
playing air guitar and all that shit...
Then I'm definitely one in the band >:eek:P
Luckily no-one has seen me perform this
airguitar thing! >)))

I can't listen to music when trying to sleep,
I end up listening,
and forgetting the sleeping part....

Me neither, Godisanathiest. Sucks, but I can't sleep. I just listen to it. Then when I do sleep, I don't sleep deep. I feel like I'm on the couch trying to sleep but there's this music playing. I need silence. w/e

I've imagined getting up at some open mic night at some metal place in Sweden (hahah) and shocking the shit out of the audience and like covering and Opeth song in front of whole crowd with the death vocals and everything. That's so funny seeing it in writing now. Anyhoo...

OH RIGHT...yeah, I knew I had something else. The other day I was stuck in traffic and Still Life started up. I imagined an animated story for the album. Actually, I finally got home right before White Cluster started and I wanted to turn it on when I got inside just so I could see where my mind would go. It was pretty much self explanatory, I know, but it's just...this is what my mind wanted after doing it for an hour and if I didn't it felt like...I was leaving before the movie was over! It was so cool.

Damn, I wish I could draw.

I quite often fantasize about being a band member, mostly front singer and bass (which I play myself) but I try not to, as it somewhat damages the music. As for sleeping to music, of course I do. But it's only on weekends that I listen to extreme metal while sleeping. I used to listen to Type O every friday night but I hate that band now so it's usually Sentenced, that's mellow enough.
