I know this was asked before (maybe a hundred times), but I really need your opinion in this special case.
I did an eight-song-EP for friends a few weeks ago (I wanted to do it for free but they insisted on giving me 100 EUR).
Now one of them called me and asked, if I wanted to do an EP for another band (5-8 tracks). I know what to expect from the recordings (they record at the home-studio of a friend - he does a decent job).
I'll told 'em, that I won't fix any major-issues in the mix (it's their job, to play tight), so it's basically mixing-only.
Now of course they want to know how much I will charge for that project. What would you suggest to do? They are total youngsters and can't pay too much.
I thought of a fixed rate per song ... maybe 20-25 EUR? Too cheap? This would be my second paid job.
