another band with good lyrics

Yes Kent is so beautiful, i have been listening to their album "Verkligen" for over and over again in the last days

Yeah, I like Kent too. The only problem is that most of their songs are in Swedish...and I can understand only a few words, but I also have to admit that I like Swedish language so much that it really sounds good even if I can´t catch the meaning of what they are singing! And having heard the English version of a few songs, I still prefer the Swedish one...

So do I.

A guy from Sweden once told me that the English translations are a little lame.

By the way, does anybody know where I can get Kent's latest album cheaply? The Swedish version, of course. I have never seen any of their CDs in any store around here...

Saturnus.

I don't know how much you are into doom, but Saturnus pay attention to the lyrics nearly the same as to the music.

Check out their debut, Paradise Belongs to You (Euphonious, 1997).
I agree, they're an excellent band with some great lyrics. They have a song called For Your Demons... damn, that reminds me of something... ;)

Paradise Lost! I think the best lyrics, they did on the album "Host", but it isn't (really) a metal album. "One Second" (the album, not the song itself!) has good lyrics too.

Are you speaking of song titles like "Excuse me while i kill myself"?
I think they are taking it a bit over the edge.
The lyrics from "Amok" and "Frozen" for example were really good i remember, but then the lyrics became kind of selfdescructive more and more,in an exaggerated way, like you said pointless.
