Another Opeth realization...

I was playing A Fair Judgement on guitar all the way through for the first time today...

I rarely learn solos note for note, I am a firm believer in spontaneous solos, and A Fair Judgement is one of those songs that you can just go crazy on! Grant it, the ones Mike and Peter play on the album are pretty great, but I think that they should jam on their solos differently...Mike will change the Drapery solo a little bit every time, but usually him and Peter go for "album solos"...I think they should get crazy. (except for the last solo in Forest of October, which should always stay the same!)

Hm, I think I would have cried if Mikael had not played the Serenity Painted Death solos as they are on the album when I saw them live... they are unbettermakable!

They change it up a little. Parts of Advent are played much slower live to accentuate the mood.
