too many many side-effects from ortho tri-cyclen. ask your doc for a super low dose like desogen.

I've been on pills since I was 15-16 - has always been a low dose of hormones, (gah, am I really talking about it on the forum?!) and I love it.
I know exactly when I'm getting [insert funny period name here] it lasts 4 days, no pains, no hussle... I believe your body should get period naturally... every month...

since i'm getting it for free through the health dept and don't really have the money to put down for anything fancy, that kinda limits my options as far as what i can get - i'm thinking no name brands, no surgical kinds ... but i know they have to have lower dosage kinds ... and i'm just not going back on depo ... gonna call today after work and see what their deal is as far as all that

Be careful because there is a generic kind of ortho tricyclen and the lo version that are the same thing. So make sure it's not just the generic version. I was on that too for a while but I was also nauseous all the time. I'm not on anything at the moment. It's nice.

i'm guessing none of them list "increasing seratonin levels" as benefits, do they? the only things that the pills have really brought about are the leg pains.
