Lykathea Aflame. You can barely make a word out of it. But any lyrics that include "Let's learn!" are good by me.

Nile's lyrics are usually not gore. You might learn something.

Good call on the Nile. The lyrics on their albums are a treat.

Morbid Angels stuff is non-gore shit that's (occasionallY pretty interesting.

Bolt Thrower, if you want to read about War, war, battle and war.

If you want GREAT lyrics, you might want to avoid Death Metal. For my money, the best lyrics in metal were always in Skyclad, but they aren't to everyones taste. Try googling skyclad and lyrics and have a read.

I consider older In Flames to be death metal. Jester Race and Colony have some of the best metal lyrics out there.

Gaia impaled on their horns and lances
To fumes from her body give case
As the throng of blind-minded savor the scent
Dreams dead from prosaic and hate
:hotjump:

Those lyrics don't even make sense. :confused:

apart from Death and Opeth I find most death metal lyrics to be total crap like Cannibal Corpse Lyrics, all about suffering, lots of suffering, even more suffering murder, blood and guts....im open 2 any views and opinions otherwise
Listen to some of Napalm Death's lyrics, some of them are a bit different.

I always thought Nigel Tufnel really was English until I saw an interview with him recently. :erk: His custom pickup was the best thing ever invented.

custom pick up? remind me what that was. I've seen the film loads of times, but I don't remember that...:confused:

How do they not make sense...They're poetic, metaphorical. My interpretation of it is 'civilization' and 'industry' destroying the natural order and the potential for true freedom and happiness

So you call us idiots, and then list Ensiferum, Extol, Into Eternity, Nightrage, Orphaned Land, Ulver & Vintersorg as death or black metal bands?

:lol:

Sure thing, jackass.

Ensiferum = Viking Black Metal
Extol= Death Metal, practically to the core, at least on their early albums
Into Eternity= Progressive/Death Metal
Nightrage= Melodic Death Metal
Orphaned Land = Progressive Death Metal
Ulver = Black Metal early on
Vintersorg = Viking Black Metal

Genres fights are stupid so I'm not going to get into it, but the fact that you even debated bands like Nightrage, Extol and Ulver tells me that you don't know what you're talking about.

Sorry it wasn't in the film, it was when they did the reunion thing around 1991 or so. He was on the cover of one of the guitar magazines with a new guitar which had a custom pickup in it - basically it was about 4 humbuckers joined together to make one massive long pickup. Stupid, but hey, that's the point. :D

Interpret it how you like, but it's not exactly proper English is it? That's my point.

Deicide have good lyrics, if you're 14. I don't read death metal lyrics, what's the point - you can't make out what they're saying anyway.
Listen to Jethro Tull if you want good lyrics.

If you can't make out what they're saying, all the more reason to read the lyrics, jackass.

actually CARCASS as pretty good lyrics on heartwork and i think its the kind of lyrics the thread starter will like.
still that fenriz thingh was funny as hell:tickled:

i think he should listen to nevermore, not death metal, but thats exactly the type of lyrics he wants i think.
