No but seriously, doesn't sound anything "special" to me, it's pretty natural if you compare with I dunno... some tech death metal band. Not saying it's not good, just that it isn't special, so with a good snare and a couple good mics, and a good drummer, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to get it by just micing it up and doing the standard compression and EQ etc on it
It just sounds like a good metal snare with enough dampening (as I hear little to no "ringing") and a hard-hitting drummer. There's probably compression with a slow attack setting (as the drum's attack sounds quite natural) and I can hear a fair amount of room verb. Nothing special, really
