Anyone up for recording drums for an Uroboric Forms cover?

Some of you may have seen the topic where the guy was asking peeps to do covers of Cynic songs for a Focus tribute album.
I talked to my friend the other day and asked if he'd be up for doing bass, and he's up for it and we got talking about drums.

We figured it would turn out much better with real drums.

So if anyone's up for it, then that'd be sweet.
As long as you have the means to record it too

Oh this sounds awesomely tempting! I do have the means of recording but I haven't had time lately (like for a half freakin' year) to practise drums as I used to, so I don't know if my skill is enough. I don't remember what this song sounds like though, but still... it IS tempting I must say!

Well if me and tom (my bud who's gonna play bass) get started on bass, guitar and vocals then will you be able to record to a tempo track?
Gonna try and get it as close to the original track as possible.

fuck drums suck for that! its so hard to work a job, and keep both your drum / guitar skills in tune! hard enough to stay rehearsed on guitar, let alone also trying to keep up your skill on drums which takes MEGA dedication.

Sounds good to me. Which original version? the demo or the version from focus? the original demos are a lot faster!

I already downloaded it.

Had a listen.
Gomez, I reckon we do the album version but sped up say 5-10bpm.
I want to try as hard as possible to maintain the ethereal feel of the album versions so we can maintain an obvious uh..
Irreverance towards the album and its atmosphere and feel, but also show that we dig the fact that Uroboric forms is the obvious headbanger of the album.
