Just a word of warning from experience to all candidates here - moderating this forum is a pretty daunting task. Expect to find your email account suddenly fill up with reported posts, even if they're not actually about posts from the GMD... I was getting reports from everywhere, and Hotmail nearly deleted my account as a result.
Be prepared to spend half your online life moving advertising threads into the Self Promotion forum.
Be prepared to have people private messaging you asking to have the nasty person who called them a ball-licking shrub rocketeer banned.
Be prepared to in turn have the insulter call you a fascist and claim his right of free speech.
Lots of other things really, but that's all that sticks out... good luck! Hehehehe...

Nah, I reckon it's factual, and it's exactly why a moderator is needed. There's always going to be plenty of people who are a little bit mislead, but they're usually harmless enough. It's just the people who really make this forum suck that are a problem.

Well see, thats why I want to moderate this board... I could purify it... I don't want to sound Hitler-esque, but I want to get rid of the fucking fools and keep the people who like intelligent, meaningful discussion. It would be nice.

Hm.. I'm not sure if I like that "campaign", knowing that preciously few people from the Nevermore board post on GMD. If Nevermore posters just come here to vote for Marksveld and then leave, just to support him, the poll will give quite a wrong picture, I believe..
Are we going for multiple mods or just one? If it's the former, it might be worth having a checkbox poll and choosing the top 2, 3, whatever.
