Devin Townsend's Addicted should be mentioned, as well as Cain's Offering's debut.

Really? I thought that Cain's Offering album sucked. Maybe my expectations were too high because it had Sonatavarius members in it, but I just thought overall it was too poppy, too slow and wasn't helped by the 'Boo hoo I'm so sad my girlfriend dumped me' lyrics. Easily the most disappointing album of '09 for me.

My top 5 in Jan this year went:

1. Arcane - Chronicles of the Waking Dream
2. Propagandhi - Supporting Caste
3. Finsterforst - ...Zum Tod Hin
4. Cattle Decapitation - The Harvest Floor
5. Be'lakor - Stone's Reach
