Best album of 2011

So with about three months left for 2011, what's your top album released this year?

My hands down winner is and likely will be, regardless of any late releases, Orpheus' Bleed the way. A real credit to the band and forum members that were involved in it's making. It hasn't left my car since Feb and gets a spin most weeks!!!

Devin Townsend Project - Deconstruction

It's hard, been really digging One (Tesseract), The Discovery (Born of Osiris) too, really a grower though, 'cause some parts sound weird and out of place at first. Bon Iver's self-titled is great too, as is Protest the Hero's Scurrilous. Ulcerate's The Destroyers of All was sick too, and I'm sure the latest Pain of Salvation record will be amazing.

I guess One really is the record of the year for me, though Scurrilous got me into PTH which is now one of my favourite bands. It's a tie.

In the melodeath genre though the Orpheus record is my favourite to come out in quite some time. Probably since Mors' last.

Morbid Angel - Illud Divinus Insanus (not as bad as people said, but not amazing either, just a good album)
