best CRADLE OF FILTH album

I don't have any album by cradle of filth, and i want to start with the best .

Anyway, I happen to think "Dusk...and Her Embrace" is a very good album.

i like Midian cuz of two very good songs, "Lord Abortion" and "Cthulhu Dawn."

Personally, I like Vempire followed by Dusk...And Her Embrace. I really don't prefer much after Cruelty. Principal is pretty good. but my fav. is Vempire.

I am big COF fan.

I would start with new 2 CD anthology "lovecraft & witch hearts"
this is all the casual listner will need. If you want an album go with "dusk & her embrace"

Weakest Cd is "bitter suites"

I would say the three best are (in this order): Vempire - Dusk and her embrace - The Cruelty and The Beast. From Cradle to Enslave EP is good too.

My favorite songs: Forest whispers my name, Queen of Winter Throned, Funeral in Carpathia, Gothic Romance (Red roses for the devils whore), Dusk and Her Embrace, Thirteen Autumns and a widow, Beneath the Howling Stars.

I Like Midian...but the cradle fans I know all swear by Dusk...and her embrace....


....and go see them live, they really put on a show and you actualy get value for money..........

I think 'The Principal Of Evil Made Flesh' is their best, I used to love COF, can't stand most of their stuff anymore, but I still rate that album highly, so in my book it has stood the test of time.

Most of them were superb, but to start off with I'd say get Lovecraft and Witchhearts. That way you get a good mix of their styles and aren't limited to one theme and all. It has extremely good songs, such as "Beneath The Howling Stars."

Midian was one of my favorites.

But Dusk...and Her Embrace was good as well.... I think those are really the only two worth owning. Cruelty and the Beast might be a third, but that's pretty much it.

The best is definately "Dusk... And Her Embrace"... It has the most classic and evil approach of Cradle... Great album! Check out the track: "Funeral In Carpathia"; their best song to date!
"Midian" is very good as well, and the production & sound has increased a lot... Tracks such as "Cthulhu Dawn", "Saffrons Curse" and "Her Ghost In The Fog" should speak for themselves! Buy these two, you wont be disappointed...

Fuck CoF. Check out something better instead. But Vempire is by far the best they have done, followed by Dusk And Her Embrace. They are worth getting, the rest of the albums you can do without.
