Best voice in metal?

Agreed, his growls are also wicked and it's to bad him and scar symmetry have parted ways. oh well

SS will be announcing a new vocalist soon. I was thinking maybe Dan Swanö.

He left? Damn. Didn't love his growls but them cleans were beastly. Pitch Black Progress is a killer album. I actually thought they had two vocalists until I looked it up. Dan Swano would be pretty sweet though.

Pitch Black Progress is fucking wicked. what the fuck are you talking about

They're HORRENDOUSLY overrated, overproduced and they sound like generic garbage that doesn't have a need to exist. The hype around SS pisses me off. Just another lifeless band.

Extreme metal vocalists:

Kam Lee
Gurge
Stevo

Traditional heavy metal vocalists:

King Diamond
Rob Halford
Paul Di'Anno (I prefer him to Bruce Dickinson, personally)
Ozzy Osbourne (but only with Sabbath, can't stand his solo shit)
Ronnie James Dio

"They're one of those "really big in the underground" bands that everyone who's into melo-death mentions whenever asked."

Ya, I don't listen to it unless it's itty bitty in the underground.

Same. The fact that Scar Symmetry actually do, in fact, suck is irrelevant to me because they're not underground enough anyway.

Seriously, find a new method of defense for your insecurity in liking a terrible band. Thank you. :)

Death Metal = David Vincent
Black Metal = Varg

My favorite performance on one album though has to be Mike Browning on the AoD unreleased album.

Wow... no-one has mentioned Johan Hegg yet?

Don't know why he wasn't on my list. His vocals are beastly. They sound so natural - like he's not modulating his voice, he actually just sounds like that normally or something. In interviews and live you can see he does have an extremely deep voice.
