Blasphemer leaves Mayhem

Yeah, the gimp who is conducting the doc, is a mega faggot.

Yeah.
That guy was so gay.

I don't see this as a surprise. He feels he's done all that he could in his attempt to fill Euronymous' shoes. I can't imagine how much pressure one feels when he has to live in such an immense shadow and carry on that legacy.

Overall I thought it was a decent documentary. I mean trying to cover the expansive breadth of metal and metal-related culture in 90 minutes is nigh impossible, but I thought this was a good attempt to focus on a few primary features of the music/culture and running with it.

I'd actually like to see him make a series of these documentaries based on differing styles of metal. In fact, if someone would make and release a competent documentary chronicling old school death metal (especially of the European sort) I would eat it up, as would many others I assume. That being said, it would probably fail in the minds of the core audience since these people are generally some of the most critical I have ever met.

as for Mayhem... we'll too bad it was Blasphemer and not Attila... they are up shit's creek now since I think Blasphemer was the main songwriter no? ... I always thought he was a better guitarist then Euronymous though I respect what Euro did...

EDIT - Don't be a dick, thank you -V

EDIT - If you start being a neutral Mod and not a fanboy dick yourself then perhaps I would stop being one myself as well. Though I wasn't being one unlike you with your remark. Was just giving my opinion on what I thought of individual members of the band. - UFM

Mayhem might as well fucking call it quits now, and this is why the aussie tour was cancelled, don't fucking tell me they gonna continue with a "new" guitarist, now is the time to put "The Legend" to rest

I'm sure they'll find someone to replace Blasphemer, yeah I agree, I wish Maniac was back as Mayhem's singer.

He is an infinitely better guitarist than Euronymous was, from a technical standpoint. However, Euronymous had the know-how for writing brilliant, simplistic music. Blasphemer is just a metrosexual faggot and I'm glad he's gone. Maybe they can bring in somebody who doesn't smuggle cocks across the border in his mouth. Like one of the guys from Kvikksolvguttene, bring back that Deathcrushy goodness.

Blasphemer should be replaced with Snorre Ruch. Still I think the band should just give up, their attempt to resurect mayhem has failed, the only record they released with the same quality of the early stuff is wolf's lair.

I saw this on another forum and think it's funny:

-MAYHEM: it's not even funny anymore, I mean your band consists of some hungarian drug dealer who thinks it's cool to be 40 and show up on stage wearing the most ridiculous carnival time outfit? Give me a break. Oh, and on a marginal side, your music sucks donkey balls.

In his defence Ordo ad chaos was a good album mostly because of his contribution to it. Saw them on tour last year and they were painfully bad none of them looked like the wanted to be there and Atilla appeared on stage dressed in what could only be described as a gimp suit
