As for Bugera's being imitations and so on, after hearing many 5150's lately, they sound close but a bugera and a peavey can be told apart very quickly. The highs have been rolled off a little on the Bugera, it's not as bity and the low end is a little tighter IMO. The mids are a little more accented but it sounds like it's in a different region also

Well, 90% true, since the 5150 has a few differences (one more gain stage, some different filters, a solid state fx-loop...) compared to the SLO... it's indeed a SLO "based" amp (like the Recto and the Framus for example) but not a real "clone"...Meisterjäger;7582971 said:It's like a tier of clones, decending price-wise

I thought it was more 5150 inspired since the actual copy of the 5150 is called the 6260, the 6262 is the 5150 II copy. Not that it really matters...Meisterjäger;7582971 said:You really felt I needed to know that???
The name is quite reminiscent of the 6505 name, which makes this more of a 6505 inspired amp, rather than a 5150 inspired amp. Agree? I do know that 6505's are the same as 5150's.

And by the way, is the original link still valid? I can't listen to that clip worth a damn.
