can you play any Bodom solos?

I can't do Bodom solos yet, I've tried, but have failed miserably, I'm still trying though. I can play lots of other tough stuff, like Savatage, but damn, some Savatage solos get tough. Or Dimmu Borgir, I can't do the one in "Metal Heart", the beginning is easy, but as the solo progresses... Wow, I don't think it's possible.

LMAO. Si, hay muchos cabrones en esta cuarto pero mas de ellos gustan CoB y para una persona a gustar CoB, creo que no es possible por esta persona a ser un cabron........well............ completamente. LoL but it's all good anyhow:p I'm just guessing, but this Angus finds some of the end keys hard to hit consecutively in Kissing the Shadows doesn't he?:D

HOLY SHIT!!!!!! LMFAO dude I remember that fuckin guy in the American Alexi's avatar. Heh Can't remember where though, but I was in Long Island within 2 years ago(Got relatives out there). LoL what a small fuckin world. I'm guessing that's you in the avatar?. LoL maybe It could be I saw you at like a 7-eleven or someshit. I never forget a face though. (Photographic mem).:)

Hello to all first of all, because I have just submited this board. And now to the topic:

A lot of you say that you can play f.e. Kissing the Shadows solo. Maybe - congratulations then. I can't. But don't call it "not so hard". I learn playing guiar with a teacher, who has been playing in several bands for 20 years 'till now and after I showed him some cob solos he said it must have been played by a genius. Hey, people! Listen to these solos carefully and you'll figure out that they're perfectly played! And listen to the concert album or some videos. Alexi plays all his parts perfectly! As I've read somewhere in the net that he played death metal songs being only 13.... And he's been playing for 10 years now. What's more he is a vocalist. Can you now say he is NOT a genious???

And please show us your sound samples with the solos... We are waiting.

LMAO. Until Webster's dictionary defines it as something, I can presume he is NOT a "Genious".:D :p

And as far as what DeadWinter was saying about "Metal Heart" and the difficulty increase as it progresses, I don't think the basic parts are that difficult, but I can certainly see where you're coming from as far as that guitar solo in the latter mid part. Obviously it isn't impossible, but I can agree on one thing......that must take some mad talent. When an amateur or even pro alike hears that being played in the knowledge that they were intending to replicate it........it almost sends shivers down your spine from a great induction of hopelessness. While practice is a great part of it, I just don't think it's gonna be accomplished unless you possess some of that "mad talent".........well from scratch anyway.

@Austicius:

I'm pretty sure that you know Decapitated from Poland. Is it true that they were only like 12-15 when they recorded Cemeteral Gates like it is said in their bio? If it's true then they are VERY talented.

Well...i'm just a begginer ive been playing for almoust 2 years now...i can play deadnight warrior 2nd solo close to the speed but it's still not exact......but someone was talking about perfectly played solos that alexi did...well alexi himself told that there were mistakes on something wild and he was right...while i was figuring out the deadnight warrior solo i found a litle miss in a sweep ...so it seems we are all human...

For that guy who says his teacher plays for 20 years...my father plays for 30 years and he cant even solo...so...you know...i would say if we are used to the most complicated music and practice...there will be a day when we feel that was not hard after all...that's why classic, fusion, jazz and metal players have an overall superior tecnic that someone who is used to listen and play rock.

Yes, I can say, that Decapitated were young and good. So did Alexi. But now only Alexi rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If somebody would try to analize those solos of Alexi can simply find out that he know what to do. I can say, that hes the man that perfectly know what kind of solo would sound simple but look and would be almost imposible to play.
So I can say, that if I can ever play like Alexi does I would become a God.............

I can play, what is probably the easiest COB solo, the intro to red light part 2.
I'll record it on sonar tonight, and post it. i can't now because i'm in class supposed to be learning...

It doesn't seem to work for some reason  I got this kind of error message when I tried to listen those mp3's:

Shit....about 6 of you said you can play CoB solos....sure you can... but can you play them as fast and as clean as alexi can? That's something I'd have to hear to believe.

i just printed out the tabs for Kissing the Shadows last night.....friggin 24 pages long! that's insane. honestly, Alexi is the best guitarist i've ever heard. not many people compare to him. his shit is so fast and clean. i have a hard time finding the errors that he talks about.

the thing about Bodom's solos that make them cool is the guitar dueling with the keyboards. from what ive read, not a whole lotta you guys seem to like it though. i think it's awesome, cause the keys are pretty similar to the guitar, and they compliment each other perfectly.
