Damn, We Birts still have to wait till March for 'The Wretched Spawn' to come out but anyway, judging from the two songs i reckon it's going be a killer album

Better than Gore Obsessed, but still somewhat disappointing. Anybody else download Kataklysm's Serenity In Fire? It's pretty good.
That is pretty good, but not as good as Shadows & Dust IMO

Hmmm I might have to go to the record store tonigt to get CC

It's pretty good, but I wish Cannibal Corpse would make some progression in their music. It's a good album, but they haven't progressed much since Gallery of Suicide. I'm still going to buy it.

Fantastic Cannibal Corpse.... Fantastic live as well... but I do agree that they need some progression, because if they do another album or two liek this, it will begin to get redundant, and form ost people it already is.

I keep listening to the album....I keep listening to the tracks that all the reviewers and fans are raving over saying 'this is going to be an instant CC classic! one of their best songs ever!' and thinking '.....erm.....this doesn't even come close to most of what was on Bloodthirst or Gore Obsessed....'.

I keep listening to it and......I just don't see where the hype is coming from at all. It's extremely repetative this album to me it seems.

Still, it's being imported to me as I type, hopefully some time with the CD and a good bass system will make me see things in a clearer light. I never seem to be able to form good impressions from mp3s alone.

you have to hear it in a pair of good headphones, so you can catch the awesome bass lines of Alex Webster

I've heard two tracks (Cyanide Assassin and Severed Head Stoning), and someone please tell me why I should get this album? I was already severely disappointed with Gore Obsessed, and I own Gallery and Bloodthirst which easily own all that came after them. No thanks.

Well, I bought the album today. After listening to it in my car on the way home I was much more impressed, because it sounds better in a real stereo and on LOUD than on my computer. I'm pretty satisfied with it so far.

I've listened to it a couple of times today and my opinion keeps changing. The first time I listened to it, I thought it was awesome and believed I was totally mistaken in my first opinions. But now i'm not so sure again! I just can't decide about this one. All I'm really sure of right now is that Nothing Left To Mutilate and They Deserve To Die are amazing songs. The others are taking a lot of listening to pick out the detail.

...The DVD is utterly awesome. The guys in CC are so cool! Especially Webster, man, he's a badass bassist. There's session footage of them playing Frantic Disembowelment and.....MAN! Looks technical as fuck. Definately worth getting the DVD version of the album.
