the new *sleeping with sirens album was recorded at chango... it sounds really nice.

i don't like the scooped vocals though... it sounds like they overly eq'd the vocal mix.

it might also be a little too bright for my taste but all in all, i think a lot of chango's newer mixes are really good.


i am excited about the new woe, is me ...post master. those kids have some pretty entertaining songs.

I know Cameron fairly well. He worked for James Wisner before I did. I know he did Oceana tides with nothing more than a 002 and crappy mics, pretty cool considering. Same for when he recorded my old band.

He has since bought Gridlock studios and made that the new home of Chango. He does great work for a low price, and usually comes up with some pretty cool ideas in the studio. I don't want to give away what gear he uses, but lets just say he stripped down Gridlock Studios and wound up selling most of the highend stuff in there. His methods are similar to Joey's from what Joey has told me and what I've read.

Where have you read about Chango's productions?

I haven't read them. But he did produce my old band's cd and I have worked out of Chango before engineering, so I know from first hand. He doesn't necessarily do things the same way every time though.
