Classical works you'd like to hear SymX do?

#3...as completely hokey as it sounds...would be Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain". That is IF too many people haven't ripped it off already. In which case, scratch that idea.

definately my pick, right there. we played that in All-State Orchestra (1st seat percussion, thank you, thank you) a few weeks ago. SX could own the pants off of anyone else who attempts to play it. that, or the 3rd movement of the Moonlight Sonata. i've heard some crappy attempts at that, and im sure SX would dominate that, too.

On the new Vitalij Kuprij album Forward & beyond Romeo plays on a track called Piano Overture, which basically is the 3rd movement of the Moonlight Sonata. Sounds pretty cool, if you can stand the crappiy programmed machine drums.

im a little out of my depth here :( i need to start listening to some classical. so then, where to start o_O

Gustav Holst's "Mars" and "Jupiter" are always a good start.

(you might recognize Mars from DWoT)
