I love Sieges Even. I don't really consider them metal, but they are an awesome avant-garde/prog band. The new album is great, but The Art of Navigating By the Stars is still my favorite.

Dream theater plays some decent prog as well.

Haven't heard the rest of his recs, but Flametal is a great place to start. Make sure to listen to the remastered album though, it's far superior to the first recording IMO.
