Yes, this computer is like 7-8 years old. Getting a new one in December finally. I've been to caught up spending my money on stuff like guitars,amplifiers and booze

7-8 years...wow. I usually change computers after about 3 years, in that time they're pretty outdated, depends of course on what you're going to do with it. But I'd usually rather spend money on guitars and alcohol as well lol

I got a good +1300€ as a budget honestly. I also played TF2 today, got so hooked I will probably buy it and start Steam account this weekend. So regardless if I go macfag or Microsoftdick I will play it...definetly!

You can get a massive beast of a computer for that price!

Not really, tried a few and they do work just fine. Especially with Steam games :O It all depends on If I am going for producer then It's more likely. As said I have no idea yet.

unless you wanna go logic, there's no need to get a mac for audio production

On the contrary, you would be suprised how smooth they can work. Although, It won't be much good for more requiring games like Crysis or Asassins Creed. Just won't work.

Well, It's not solely for that. I want a comptuer I will not need to upgrade every few years. I cannot be arsed. I am 120% that a Mac covers all my needs on a computer. I don't do alot of gaming...just Quake Live and am going to start playing TF2 and probably L4D.

EDIT: Yeah, I was actually thinking about Logic.

well my old macbook is about an year old and still better than most of the supernew laptops.
at least for music production (and yeah.. recently i switched from ableton live to logic.. )it's way better than windows computers. I have one (5-7) year old computer (1,8ghz duo core or something like this) and it sucks working with it, it's just too slow and after 2 years it was totalllyy old compared to other computers. not just old.
but for gaming a computer with windows is the better choice.
(though i can play red alert 3 on my macbook)
