PCs slow down and need alot of third-party shit to keep in check. I cannot be arsed with that after putting up with it since I got my first computer Also, I do not like working with Windows...especially gets on my nerves when recording. And the over 9000 extra software you need+antivirus+some other shit just turns me off. No PC to this part I have been on has kept it's speed.

I do sound like a Mac fanatic, which I aint. I take no sides in this, just talking of experience. I don't see how they are gay though

Well it had the full warranty and a $1000 video editing software I think the PC itself was $2900 though Also forgot to mention it is a Macbook Pro, not a desktop...

You could still get a way better laptop for that price

Seriously, the majority of the nugget cruncher macfags, have it because they jumped on the macwagon. Other people liek Snowy (i hope) put it to good use.

Everyone i've talked to, except my old teacher, said they wanted a mac because it was "cool", "the best computer ever" or e-peen.

A Windows PC with your budget, will be plenty for your needs, and will still run good after a good couple of years.
AND you won't have any compatability issues, you will be able to play games, and that shit.

Get PC, seriously.

My school work requires a mac for video editing... trust me I fucking hate mac.. Photoshop/CS4 in general is annoying as shit on Mac... but I guess I should get used to it it's handy to know both platforms.

I don't get it, I can do my video editing profesionally and flawless using a Windows. And it goes fast as piss. Same for photo editing and music recording.

That's true, they are still high-end top quality computers. Trust me, I'm not jumping on any wagons here. I am open to every option I have. Will just have to choose what works best for me

Any person with half a brain can keep PC's clean and keep them running smoothly.

I didn't say a PC can't edit just as good I said my program uses Final Cut and the Mac platform.. I'd rather use PC and Avid/Sony Vegas.

EDIT: I'm talking to my friend again. He has used mac for years, and say they lock up as much as a PC will. It all depends what you have installed/harddrive etc.

I'd like to take a timeout here to point out how iTunes is a fucking bitch on the PC. I don't know how it is on Macs, but on the PC, it's slow, sloppy, and bugged to death.

Edit: Indeed, mac whores claiming it owns for photo/video editing are brainless zombies. Photoshop is the fucking same program on mac that it is on PC. The PC has like 60 times more resources, software and its sexy.

Haven't tried Razer, but the Roccat Kone is a great mouse (get v2.0) and so is my current Logitech G5.

And yep, same software. Nothing different.

I have a G5, and I enjoy it really much. The Razer Megalodon Headset is like, heaven into your ears. And I own the Razer Tarantula keyboard, the fastest keyboard evar, and again, it lives up to its word.

what the fuck?! WMP I've used for years and I love how the library is. Too bad when your library gets too big, there's a glitch in Windows 7' s WMP that uses 100% of your cpu for.... nothing. No more gaming with songs on, unless you can accept 20 fps, which is something I can't even imagine. Xbox :zombie:

But iTunes is just so ugly and unpractical, slow and ... whatever, it's just a piece of shit nugget hanging from a mac's hairy asshole.
