Yeah, that's the main reason why I go too. They are missing some obvious reissues of certain albums so maybe I'll figure out how to add them.

Discogs destroys them when it comes to listing reissues.

yeah ill normally go to discogs but sometimes M-A is better for certain things, like genre tagging

In fairness M-A only introduced the issues feature a few months ago. It's still the most comprehensive style-specific musical database.

I like that it has the lyrics avilable because of the themed mixtape game.

M-A also clearly has the best search options for metal music. Searching by themes, specific genres, country, state, city.

There are also lots of demos and other obscure stuff that have been on M-A for ages but aren't on Discogs.

I use both sites.

Not really sure why the two are being compared to begin with really, discogs is only good for buying things, there is a ton of stuff not listed on there. Rateyourmusic is even worse for archiving.

Do you guys know that band called Dawn of Disease? They are going to be a support for Amon Amarth gig in December along with Grand Magus and I'm pretty stoked. What do you think about them?

Haha, thank you! I find them alright, with their third album they got more into melodeath rather than traditional death metal. German death metal bands are good.

I like Crypts of the Unrotten quite a bit, my favorite from them.

The S/T is the weakest of their first six albums, but it's still at least an 8/10.

Rage for Order = their true masterpiece and an album that cannot be compared to nearly any other metal album
