Hell yes, Cynic is soooo overrated. Can't really agree about Atheist, but I personally find them better.

1) Most black metal is under produced shite

2) My favourite Cathedral albums are the mid-period "doom-disco" ones.

3) Cynic and Atheist are / were over rated as fuck.

4) AJFA is the best Metallica album.

5) Among the Living is as good as Master of Puppets.

6) Dominus - The First 9 is the best album to be recorded by a Danish band.

7) Everything post Emperors Return is fucking rubbish (applies to Celtic Frost)

8) Gojira just sound like a really sterile, french, technical version of Korpse (Scotland)

9) I like Cradle of Filth.

10) Swansong is a good album.

1. Lamb Of God is a damned decent band. Sacrement is a cool album.

2. Bands like System Of A Down and Slipknot ARE metal bands, wether you want to accept them or not.

3. Tankard sucks.

4. Emperor sucks.

5. Behemoth's "Apostasy" is a good album.

6. Power metal, of any kind, is absolutely worthless.

7. New Cryptopsy is the let-down of the century. Oh wait....that's not controversial......

8. White Chapel is a decent band.

While I don't like either of the bands mention in 2, I agree completely. Calling them not metal is pointless; they are - albeit one can be a BAD metal band.

Yeah, I've tried man, I really tried...I got on board with a particular music site for a while and did CD/ music DVD reviews. These guys would send me packages of new releases of all genres of metal. Power metal, in terms of music, can be fairly cool a good deal of the time. The lyrical imagery and the vocals are what usually turn it into a shitstorm for me. And don't even get me started on Rhapsody (or whatever they're calling themselves now), Blind Gaurdian, Iced Earth and the like.

YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSS!!!!! I totally agree, man....earlier Deicide albums that people love to lick the nuts of are shit compared to Once, Serpents, Scars, and Stench.

Now....I like the early albums, but they really get boring after roughly 8 minutes.
